Q. Could Buckner be in the Hall of Fame? Yes I know his career was remember for his error but think about it logically. Buckner had 2715hits more than Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle, Joe Di Maggio and 70% of the HOF. Buckner was one of few players to play in 4 decades (69-90), and played in 2517gms more than Babe Ruth, Rod Carew, and Willie Stargell. Buckner was one of the most respected players in the gm viewed as a tough guy who went all out on every play. Ray Knight the beneficiary of the Buckner error called Buckner a warrior champion. He was on 2 Pennant teams (LA in 74 and Boston in 86) and didn't cost the sox the 86 World series. What do you think. A. baseball being a numbers game, yes, he should be in HOF due to his numbers! will he ever be remembered by something other than that ill-timed error, unfortunately not! the thing people fail to recognize is that Boston didn't have anyone better to play 1st base in the '86 World Series. If they guy was good enough to start on a World Series team at that age, he musta been better than average. I'm not even a Boston fan but if i had a vote, he'd get it based on solid career numbers.

A. The formula has been ... cut off ... by Y!A. Try re-pasting it, and put in some spaces after the commas here and there to enable Y!A to word-wrap it. How many nested IF's do you have there? In versions prior to 2007, there's a maximum of 8 nested IFs. Since it's still lowercase, I'm guessing that excel is not recognizing that last "if".

Javascript form validation problem?
Q. Hello, I am very new to Javascript and I've only understanding for simple Javascript. I had to develop a Javascript validation form for a project. I have done so, using the most simple methods. After submitting the form, the appropriate errors show, but, when resubmitted, the errors are not updated (they are still present). I've had a few ideas about fixing this, but I'm so new to Javascript that my knowledge of commands are restricted heavily. I have seen other functioning forms but most are a lot more complex than mine. Is there a simple rule I can incorporate to fix my Javascript form? I'm guessing I'll need another function. How can I buy a thermistor for a 24k btu, 220v, window AC unit?
Q. Hi, Where can I buy a pipe themistor for a Fredders window AC unit? It's a 24,000 BTU, 220v. The error message is 'E3.' And according to this forum post: ...it means 'indoor pipe themister error...D-with defrost.' I've narrowed it down to what I believe to be the indoor pipe thermistor. On the circuit board, there are two spots where 'sensors' are plugged in. When I unplug the one that clearly leads to the sensor clamped in front of the coils visible from looking at the front of the AC with the cover taken off, I get an 'E2' error. Which according to the link above is 'room thermister closed...Y-cool only with sweep.' Any help would be great. Thanks! CB

baumatic dishwasher E3 fault?
Q. Hi there, I have E3 error code I think its to do with my element as a plastic fork melted on it and it hasnt been right since - I found a company who sell the element for PS16, but I dont know how to replace it - is it a simple enough job - I'd really be grateful for a quick reply. Thanks Brian

A. I'm sorry I don't know anything about Baumatic appliances (I'm from Canada) but I did come accross this bit of information while searching for information about your dishwasher. There appears to be a lot of problems with E4 error codes but only this one E3. It doesn't sound very promising. A. The most efficient way of dealing with that many variables is to use the LOOKUP function. You would create a table of data, that would include all your criteria. Something like this: (Each criteria in its own cell, creating a table) 12Hrs days then next cell - 11.5 12Hrs nights next cell 11.5 8Hrs days next cell 7.5 8Hrs nights next cell 7.5 ... and so on. A table that includes all of your options, and the values that you want associating with them. Then you would use the LOOKUP function. This will receive an input, like 12HRS DAYS then go to the table and find the same option (12HRS DAYS) and return the value in the next cell, which in this case would be 11.5. What is wrong with my computer?
Q. So a couple days ago i spilled a glass of apple juice on my toshiba laptop, the screen then went blue and displayed a message that i didnt catch because it was so quick. now everytime i turn on my laptop it says operating system not found. i tried using my toshiba recovery disk and everytime i start that up i get an error code saying e3-EEE-000, i looked up how to fix that and i cant even do the instructions i found because it seems as though my laptop isnt connecting to my harddrive. i tried putting a new hard drive in but that doesnt even work. anybody have an idea to help my problem?

A. Check the heater!With a multimeter check the resistance of the heating element.If it is near12 to 35 ohms than the element is ok,if it is infinite then you have to replace the heater with a new one.The heating element is on the bottom of the dish washer! Good luck!

A. I work in a shop repairing these printers and have had a large number with the same fault - displaying E-3 with no jam in the paper path. This is caused by a broken part in the paper feed mechanism that pevents the printer from taking the paper. The part located right at the bottom of the printer looks like two white gears connected together with a central spring. Hate to tell you but the cost to fix is more than they sell for new.

Canon MP160: error E3?
Q. I have a canon mp160 3 in 1 printer that keeps giving me an E3 error. That error is a "paper jam". Well there is no jam in the printer. Is there any way I can get that printer to start working again? Someone told me that you could flash the printer to restore the factory settings. How do i do that and where do I find it?

A. Open the top of the printer and make sure that their is not a small piece of paper stuck in the roller. Open the back also. Sometimes their can be a sheet stuck there. Remove the cable for 10 seconds (power cable) and plug it back in. That will reset the printer.

Maytag MDE2400AYW Electric Dryer Questions?
Q. I have this dryer and it is not functioning properly. By that I mean it does not heat up enough to dry the clothes, but the dryer basket spins without problem. If the clothes is in too long I end up with an "E3" error. I have a few questions: 1. I've heard that it could be a few things---A. Heating element/coil B. Fuses C. Thermoresistor. I want to know how to check each of these. I have a digital multimeter tester and would prefer to check the dryer while it's not plugged in. 2. I tinkered a little with the dryer yesterday and found two round sensors (look like oversized watch batteries) in the rear of the dryer near the element. I unscrewed the heating element from the rear of the dryer and and made sure it was clean and tight… [cont.]

A. just guessing here, try resetting it, shut off the breaker for a few minutes, see if that might help.

A. I believe the E3 error comes up with Maytag dishwashers right? Depending on where you bought it, you could call the store, or contact Maytag. Edit - Ah, sorry... Powerpoint is an Irish dishwasher company. Might be the same as Maytag in the US though.
